Maxim integrated products, Inc. has recently launched a series of RFID keys and RFID cards, which are suitable for automatic identification, access control and e-cash applications. The market scale of these applications can reach 2 billion pieces per year. A new generation of contactless RFID products
(max66000 / 020 / 040 / 100 / 120 / 140) adopts the mainstream technology of 1-wire security certification IC developed by the company for the protection of intellectual property rights of embedded systems. Since 13.56MHz is becoming an international standard for access control and electronic payment market, the series of security devices are internally integrated with 13.56MHz interface, which is conducive to improving market share. This RFID technology has been applied to passports and ID cards in some areas.
With the continuous improvement of the value of key data in RF credit cards, there are more and more opportunities for attacks, forgery and replication of cards and credit authentication devices. System integrators have to seek more secure authentication technology to protect these devices.
Maxim's latest RF products are packaged in plastic card or ISO ultra-thin card and support ISO 14443b or ISO 15693 HF protocol. For each protocol, the following three products are provided: 64 bit ROM ID (max66000 / max66100), Rom ID with 1K bit EEPROM (max66020 / max66120), Rom ID with 1K bit EEPROM and SHA-1 certification (max66040 / max66140). In addition, device functions can also be customized.
Max66040 and max66140 adopt the NSA proposed and verified secure hash algorithm (SHA-1) to protect the key data of the system and avoid the use of high-cost encryption technology or untested proprietary protocols. SHA-1 is a public ISO standard and has been fully tested in the end market. The algorithm is designed to maintain the integrity of stored data, so as to verify the authenticity of credit authentication devices.
Maxim provides custom programmable RF keys and RF cards to meet the application needs of emerging applications or existing tag groups. The device can be used with most 13.56MHz card readers in the market, providing a label alternative for the existing system. The data of all Maxim RMB contact RFID keys and RFID cards can be obtained from china.maxim-ic.com/rfid.
